COLLABORATION WITH DR. CRAIG WHEELOCK

Dr. Craig Weelock is Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Karolinska Institute (Sweden). Dr. Wheelock research interests involve the use of biology-based approaches to explore the mechanisms involved in maintaining healthy populations – both at the individual as well as group level. For this purpose, Dr. Wheelock employs a combination of analytical and computational chemistry.

Working at the interface with Health and analytical sciences, Dr. Weelock was interesting in measuring oxylipins. Our collaboration started by the development of an analytical method to measure C18-metabolites, including the one synthesized in our group. In 2024, Dr. Wheelock was interesting by looking at corals by using non-enzymatic isoprostanoids coming from SDA, DGLA and GLA along with Ecklonialactones and Eiseniachlorides. Work is ongoing ...
